CTEPH patients experienced 1.8 ± 2.2 hospitalizations per year accounting for 14.8 ± 26.1 days in hospital. These models suggest best practice HRM results from an organisation aligning its HRM policies and practices with the needs of the organisation, and ensuring some form of fit or congruence is achieved between these two (Wright & McMahan 1992, Arthur 1994, Youndt, Snell, Dean & Lepak 1996).

Although we assessed provision of social support by significant others, family, and friends (without specification of sexual orientation), some research suggests that support from other LGBs may have an even greater impact on mental health than support from heterosexuals ( ). As VALS and LOV evolved from Maslow’s theory, they share definitions for some values. (e.g., a person who is classified as an achiever, probably values sense of accomplishment). As long as the facially race-neutral classification would have been rejected, had its negative impact been felt more strongly by a socially advantaged race, the policy depending on the classification is considered a form of racism by proxy. (c) Institutional racism which is neither overt, covert, nor secondary, includes policies that perpetuate the legacy of racial discrimination by means of classifications that disproportionately impact disadvantaged racial groups, but are not accepted because they do this.
